TROME

​Trome was founded end 2013, inspired by a need in the aquaculture sector for a small drumfilter. 

At Trome, it is our passion to invest our knowledge, technology and time to make the production processes in aquaculture more sustainable, more efficient and more profitable. We want to maximise the lifetime of the used equipment and minimise the use of natural resources. Based on experience and driven by innovation we make the tools in the production process smarter, customisable and with more sustainable compounds. 

With the 2 new product groups; non-metal pumps and eAOP reactors Trome has unique products that contribute to our mission in aquaculture.  

All 3 product groups can be applied in a wide variety of other activities like chemical industries, industrial and municipal waste water treatment, purification for water reuse, recreational aquatics like public swimming pools, desalination for the production of drinking water from seawater, … 

Product Description 

• Drumfilters: 5 models, max capacity up to 140m³/h. A high effectively used mesh area results in low water consumption and small footprint. Suitable for fresh and seawater.  
• Non-metal Pumps: resistance to corrosion by aggressive media like seawater, acids, bases,… , simplicity of design, very high energy efficiency, low total cost of ownership and low life cycle cost characterize all pump families.  
• eAOP reactors: combine UV light and proprietary nanotube photocatalyst, producing hydroxyl radicals and/or chlorine to break down organic contaminants (pesticides, pharmaceuticals,…) and to inactivate harmful microbes like E.coli, cryptosporidium,… to bear on water treatment needs and water reuse for large, global industries, safe swimming and drinking water,… 

Salmon farms depurate their fish of geosmin and MIB to get them ready for harvest. eAOP® rapidly destroys these off-flavor compounds in water, helping the farms sell better tasting salmon, reduce biomass loss and use a lot less water.
