MITIS develops high speed turbomachinery systems for decentralized energy converters. We develop innovative oil-free flameless combustion microturbine systems which can convert, in combined heat and power, any fuel into electricity and heat with low emissions, low noise and low TCO. Our microturbines use flameless combustion providing the capacity to burn any fuel fossil, neutral or free carbon with very low NOx emissions. Our air bearings enable to rotate the microturbine rotor high speed without any oil for lubrication which ensures long interval for maintenance and hence low TCO. The MITIS micro-10 microturbine is ideal for applications where large amount of heat or domestic hot water is required such as nursing homes, swimming pools, hotels, spas, multi-residential buildings, etc. It is also a useful solution for agricultural, waste-water treatment sectors and even landfill applications where the microturbine can directly use biogas. Our turbomachine technology is being associated with a pressurized PEM fuel cell (100 kW) as innovative hydrogen UPS solution for back-up power. MITIS is also involved in developing specialized cryogenic turbomachinery for the gas handling industry. |
