Composil has been an expert in circular solutions for office carpet tiles and textile furniture since 1992. Composil is present at every stage of the material's life cycle, post-production. Let's start with the "USE" stage. Composil is the only company in Europe whose cleaning methodology and associated maintenance programme are certified by the leading carpet manufacturers because they respect the material and increase its lifespan by at least 100%. Today, Composil cleans and maintains more than 2,500,000 m² per year in Belgium, France and Luxembourg. A few years ago, we launched a programme to recover carpet tiles that have been used once, in order to provide solutions for the "ReUse" and "Recycle" stages. The production of 1m² of carpet tiles requires +-5kg of refined petroleum. When old carpet tiles are replaced, they systematically end up in incinerators because there are no opportunities to recycle them. That's why the Composil group has decided to launch Composil ReUse: the first carpet tile re-use and recycling scheme. A turnkey dismantling service will be offered to any company wishing to dispose of its old tiles. After a detailed audit, the tiles will be removed, reconditioned, and stored by a sheltered workshop. Reusable tiles will be put back on the market to meet the demand for more re-use materials. Non-reusable tiles will be upcycled into new tiles by a carpet manufacturer.
