THE CENTER FOR MICROSCOPY AND MOLECULAR IMAGING (CMMI) - UMONS

​The CMMI is a technological platform that combines bioimaging expertise of the ULB and the UMONS to provide integrated (pre)-clinical imaging solutions for Lifesciences, Biotech or Medtech partners. 

Our center offers a wide range of services, ranging from sub-cellular microscopy to in vivo small animal imaging: 

• Fluorescence and electronic microscopy, 

• In vivo (in small animals) including, radiochemical testing facilities, both ionizing imaging modalities (micro-CT, microPET and microSPECT) and non-ionizing imaging approaches (such as MRI, MSOT and bioluminescence), 

• Validation of tissue-based biomarkers using standardized ICH digital pathology investigations, with up to date automates, 

• Multimodal image processing (image processing, analysis, and data quantification). 

Our facility has been founded by the European Union and the Walloon Region (FEDER Convergence Program)
