BAKING GROUP is a thriving company passionate about everything in the 'bakery business'. 

Stephan was educated at the widely known bakery school 'Ter Groene Poorte' in Bruges. As a young confectioner, he worked in many renowned houses at home and abroad. With this experience in his pocket, Stephan took the step to entrepreneurship and built on his dream. 

The dream of offering his products to a wider audience was realised. Surrounded by a highly motivated team of specialists, new sublime creations are constantly being created in Sint-Idesbald. So far, the mellocake story has been his greatest success within the company. 

The chocolate workshop became a bit too small in Sint-Idesbald. This led us to expand at a new location in Veurne. This is where our well-known 'CHOC YOU! mellocakes' are produced. 

We are known for our delicious traditional bread and breakfast products, confectionery and chocolate articles. 

Quality and respect for tradition and product are values that are very highly valued within our company. We always work with our 4 company brands. 'Stephan Destrooper', 'Granola & Co', 'CHOC YOU!' and Gentiel bread by tradition.
