The aim of the Mbeka Makosso Joseph Foundation's Training and Socio-Professional Integration Village is to create an environment conducive to learning, skills acquisition and the socio-professional integration of unemployed students and vulnerable people. More than just a training centre, it is an inclusive place to live, offering a variety of services and activities to meet the needs of the local population. The village will be made up of several sectors, each with its own characteristics and dedicated budget. In addition to construction, from major to minor works, furniture fitting, interior decoration and more, it includes a variety of other areas of activity and services. Each of these sectors will be designed to train participants in the relevant trades while creating sustainable jobs, offering a total immersion work-based learning experience. This unique approach ensures that learners acquire practical skills while contributing to the growth and development of the village. What sets the Mbeka Foundation apart is its innovative funding model. Since its inception in 2015, the Foundation has relied on a diverse range of funding sources. We have established a solid financial base through our own funds, while also soliciting membership fees, generous donations from individuals and organisations, and online fundraising campaigns. In addition, we have developed fruitful partnerships with local, national and international players, while exploring opportunities for private financial support. This diversification of our funding sources ensures the sustainability of our initiatives, while promoting our independence and our ability to pursue our community development mission. |
