EQUIBEL
Toggle the contentThe Royal Belgian Equestrian Federation is the only equestrian federation in Belgium, recognized by the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee, and by the Fédération Equestre Internationale. The main objective of the Belgian Federation, as is defined in the statutes, is to promote and disseminate sport in general and equestrian sport in particular. The Belgian Federation is the umbrella organization for the 2 Belgian Equestrian Leagues: Paardensport Vlaanderen and LEWB. More than 55.000 horses and 84.000 members are registered at the Belgian Federation. Besides the 4 Olympic and Paralympic equestrian disciplines of Dressage, Para-Dressage, Jumping and Eventing, there are 6 other disciplines practiced within the federation: Endurance, Driving, Vaulting, Reining, TREC and Horseball. It is important to emphasize that the equestrian sport is the only Olympic Sport that is not gender or age segregated. But more than a Federation, the Belgian Federation wants to be a clubhouse for its members and celebrate together the successes of our athletes, by organizing club nights, society clubs and by supporting our athletes through social media and media attention. This includes Equibel TV, a TV show dedicated to the Belgian equestrian sport and broadcasted via Telenet in Belgium, a yearly prestigious award show, Equigala, and a yearly Equestrian Forum called Equiforum Belgium. Last but not least, equestrians care for people, that’s why the Belgian Federation also engages to support good causes… Unity is strength!
