Bausch Datacom, founded in 1987, is a Belgian technology company specialized in communication solutions for utilities and infrastructure operators. Originally focused on PSTN modems for legacy infrastructures, the company evolved towards RTUs and autonomous dataloggers for monitoring and control applications across energy and water networks.
Since 2018, Bausch Datacom has been part of the German Ritter Group, further strengthening our technological expertise and cybersecurity standards. Since 2025, our full production has been centralized in Belgium, with in-house R&D, engineering and manufacturing ensuring high quality, reliability and European compliance.
Bausch Datacom develops and manufactures field-proven communication products, with strong expertise in core data communication technologies. Our portfolio includes PSTN and GSM/4G/LTE modems that extend the lifetime of existing meter and industrial PC infrastructures through integrated TCP/IP connectivity and protocol support. We offer RTUs with advanced protocol conversion capabilities, including IEC 60870-5-104 (slave and master), IEC 61850 and Modbus RTU/TCP.
Our range includes dataloggers supporting SDI-12, Modbus, analogue and pulse sensors for reliable grid and environmental monitoring, as well as secure industrial routers for cellular and IP-based communication. DEMAS, our device management system, enables efficient remote configuration and lifecycle management of field devices.
All solutions are designed for seamless integration into SCADA and DMS environments. Supported by our in-house R&D, we provide tailored hardware and software solutions for utilities and operators.
