AKT for Wallonia (formerly “Walloon Business Association") is the organization of private employers which acts to ensure the prosperity of Wallonia, through the establishment and support of an environment and a framework which allow the creation and development of competitive and sustainable companies.
From small family companies to large multinationals, AKT for Wallonia represents the 80.000 companies of Wallonia. All branches of industry and services actively participate in the structure.
AKT for Wallonia promotes a strong entrepreneurial world and raises awareness about sustainable growth. Acting as one of the main sources of information about the Walloon economy and its companies, AKT for Wallonia is the key point of contact regarding those issues for the authorities and the civil society stakeholders.
Supported by its members (including 24 sectorial federations) and by strong partnerships, the operational team of AKT for Wallonia is based in Namur.
Since April 2024, AKT for Wallonia and the Walloon Chambers of Commerce and Industry have further strengthened their collaboration since they decided to unite their destinies to formerly form a single, large, dynamic community for all Walloon companies. Since September, they share the same name "AKT" for greater visibility and impact.
